The Panasonic NPM-TT2 Pick And Place Machine NM-EJM1E is a high-flexibility twin tray modular mounter designed to maximize throughput and adaptability in mixed SMT lines. As a dual-lane mounter, it allows two independent production lanes, enabling the assembly of two different products simultaneously or doubling output on a single product. In single-lane mode, it supports PCB dimensions up to 510 × 590 mm, while in dual-lane mode, it handles up to 510 × 300 mm.
Equipped with Panasonic’s multi-recognition camera, it captures height, luminance, and pattern data to improve the detection of odd-shaped components and reduce recognition errors. You can choose between a lightweight 8-nozzle head or a 3-nozzle head V2 (100 N force), giving flexibility for both dense and large component placement.
The NPM-TT2 supports both tray feeders (front and rear) and tape/stick feeder banks, allowing up to 40 tray inputs plus many fixed tape feeders for a total of 92 component inputs. Changeover is designed to be fast: in single-lane mode, PCB exchange time is about 4.0 s (when no components are mounted on the reverse side). Dual-lane mode claims “0 s” exchange under certain conditions.
Mechanically, it supports 3-phase AC power with a typical 2.5 kVA and uses 0.5 MPa pneumatic pressure. The machine mass is ~2,690 kg.
This modular structure makes the NPM-TT2 compatible with Panasonic’s NPM-D3 / NPM-W2 lines, enabling flexible line layouts and seamless integration.
